I grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. If I had to describe my hometown, I would start by saying it has more people than it seems, especially if you grew up threw. Wichita Falls gave me a great upbringing and despite its flaws, I am thankful for my experiences.
Both of my grandfathers influenced me a lot. They are both Veterans and to me represent sacrifice, work-ethic, and dedication to family. My Papa Bill and Papa Buck, as I call them, know no strangers, and can tell a story better than most can dream one. They are my biggest influences and men who I aspire to be like every day.
A lesson that has impacted my life is when I realized we cannot control everything that happens in life. However, we can control how we react, prepare for, and deal with what life presents us. This lesson has helped me to be more present and live my life better despite what happens.
During college I studied Marketing at Oklahoma State University. Go Pokes! I was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity where I made a lot of great relationships. As far as extra-curricular activities, I enjoyed going to sporting events, concerts, and ended up playing a lot of disc-golf to walk my dog
