Josh Howard

Senior Recruiter - Tulsa, OK.

I was born and raised here in Tulsa, OK! I loved growing up here and didn’t realize just how much until I left! I moved to Dallas for a year and missed this place so much that I decided to move back. Growing up playing sports taught me a lot, but I learned the most from my parents. I always watched how hard they worked and cared for my family. One lesson that sticks with me today is if something’s not worth working hard for then it’s probably not worth it all!

My entire family (besides a few traitors that wear crimson and crème) are Oklahoma State Cowboy alums, so growing up a fan it was a no brainer to head to Stillwater for school. I studied Marketing and Management there and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity as well as business school clubs, intramural teams and a sales certificate program. I loved every second of being in Stillwater and try to make it back for as many sporting events as I can. Go Pokes!

At some point in my life, I would love to complete an iron man. I love running and endurance events so to be able to complete the pinnacle of endurance and will is something that I would really like to accomplish at some point in my life! Setting your sights on something and preparing for it vigorously is something that has always drawn me to events like this!

Aside from this, I would love to travel to Europe at some point, specifically Germany and France. I’m a bit of a history buff, WW2 specifically so I would love to visit the beaches of Normandy and see battlesights of Germany as well.

Outside work, I love to be active and get outside as much as I can! Although my handicap would not indicate it, I am an avid golfer and love to get out on the course with friends as much as possible.

Aside from golf, I love running and just completed my first half-marathon! Soon, I plan on completing a full marathon!

Outside of these things, I love hanging out with friends and family, watching any sports that are on, and sleeping!

In college, as a member of our fraternity, I had the opportunity to do volunteer/fundraising work for the Huntsman Institute for Cancer Research. The institute was founded by a member of our fraternity, so it holds a very special place in all our hearts. Nearly everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another, so being able to play a role in the fight against this disease was something that we all took very seriously.

It is a disease that affects so many people at some point, so it was one of the most rewarding feelings to be able pitch into being the generation to end cancer. This cause will always hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to continuing my efforts now in my post-grad and for the remainder of my life!

After graduating college, I knew I wanted to go into sales in some capacity but had no idea what that looked like for me! I took a job in cybersecurity sales and really enjoyed the role but felt that I was missing the people aspect of sales, which is what initially drew me to the trade. I wanted a role where I could engage with people but also make an impact on someone’s life, and that’s when I found Inceed!

In the job market, as a whole, I think there is a disconnect in the hiring processes in many places between companies and the potential candidates, but in my interview process with Inceed, I never once felt like “just another candidate.” Seeing this genuineness from everyone I met was how I knew that Inceed was different!
