I grew up in Tulsa, OK. My hometown started off smaller than what it is now. I lived in a neighborhood full of kids I grew up with. We were the cul-de-sac kids; We were constantly outside riding bikes and just doing anything active. Shooting hoops… I mean, really, anything that had to do with outside.

I would have to say my dad influenced me the most. And, I mean, my mom influenced me too, but when it comes to working, I grew up watching my dad go after what he wanted, and I saw his failures I saw his successes. I don’t think I realized when I was growing up what impact it would have on me until I got to college. It kind of all came into play and it all kind of clicked and I was like, OK, he’s the one that set me up for success.

He’s the one that basically paved the way and was able to show me that if you work hard at something, there’s going to be an outcome that is positive.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that it’s always OK to start over. You are never too old to go after your dreams.

I went to the University of Oklahoma, and I studied human relations. I was part of a sorority at Chi Mega.
