I grew up in central Kansas in the small town of Holyrood, Kansas. It has a population of around 400 people and is very rural. I went to college at the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk) and while I was there, I was a student manager for the football team. I met my wife at KU and we lived in Lawrence for about ten years.
