All my life, I feel like I’ve been an underdog. I’ve had to work a little bit harder at getting certain spots in careers and in life, so I look at my competitiveness as just a willingness to grind, to not accept what outside things say. And what also makes me competitive is my family. Being able to provide for them and show them that, hey, I’m here to help take care of you. I think it goes back to my senior year of high school. I didn’t really have a lot of scholarship offers and, you know, that was what I wanted, to continue to play football. So, I was invited to walk on at a small, division-two school, not knowing if I was going to get a scholarship. But after a year of redshirting, I was able to earn a scholarship spot on my football team and eventually compete for a starting spot.
