I grew up in Madill, OK, a small town in the south-central part of the state. Madill is basically a small stop on the way to somewhere more interesting for most people. I loved growing up in a place where I knew everyone, and good fishing or hunting was a short drive away. High school sports, specifically football, were major community events that brought so many people together.
I am blessed to have a father that invested his time in my three brothers and I. He taught us the importance of a good work ethic, strong faith, confidence, social connections, and more.
I went to Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Physical Education. I was a part of the President’s Leadership Class, Native American Student Association, and Wesley Center. I walked on to the football team my freshman year and enjoyed it but stopped playing after that year to start pursuing a career in ministry.
