Tyler Hutchens

Branch Manager - Tulsa, OK.

I grew up in Broken Arrow, OK. My biggest influence was my mom. She always had that entrepreneurial mindset. She ran and owned her own business selling Mary Kay and has been a director for 25+ years.

My dad also had a big impact on me. He always taught me to be humble, and to let other people tell you when you’ve done a good job.

I was a Marketing major at the Business School at Oklahoma State. I didn’t go the fraternity route, but I did go try to play my first year at Lindenwood football and that was about all I could handle.

I need to get back into skiing. I say this is because I’d like my kids to enjoy this too. It’s not just about me getting better, more that I don’t want to embarrass myself in front of them.

Skiing was a blast. The problem is that I never learned how to stop. So, for me, it’s one of those things that drives me nuts when people talk about how amazing skiing is. I want to get back in it, but I’m also fearful of it. That’s probably why I don’t have the ambition to go back.

It’s not necessarily a bucket list thing. It’s more like, I need to just do it type of thing.

When I am not at work, I like to enjoy family time, whether that’s the lake or various activities around town with the kids.

I love to golf even though I’m not good, and I’m an avid exercise enthusiast.

I would definitely like to try new things whether that’s half marathon, yoga, different type workouts, or anything that’s always kind of sharpening my mindset in a challenging way.

">
I would like the people that work with me and around me to see my desire. They just see what’s right in my daily actions. I want them to know that I have their back. That’s important to me.

I believe if you work hard and you show this willingness to get things done, that will also be shown by your team. It’s just the age-old adage: You should treat people the way you want to be treated.

When we truly say that we work on behalf of a client or a candidate, we mean that.

I’m in the Tulsa, OK branch. We are a second family. We truly enjoy each other’s company’s inside and outside of work. There’re group text messages, phone calls, and it even extends into the weekend. It doesn’t feel like a job. It feels like we’re always being challenged and motivating each other and it’s like a locker room where we tease and make fun of each other too.

But it’s all kindhearted ways to challenge and lookout for one another so we can better serve our clients in candidates. It’s just very enjoyable to look back and see that, not only you as an individual have success, but the people that work with you do. And people are proud of you for that.

One of our favorite ways to give back is we pick 2 kids from the Angel Tree every Christmas. It’s a tradition our kids now participate in.

Well, I have six kids. And the fun fact is it was only three pregnancies. I have 8-year-old, a set of quadruplets, and a 2-year-old.
