Zoë Layman

Account Manager - Tulsa, OK.

I grew up in Edmond, OK. I would describe my hometown as a very family-oriented suburb.

I think that growing up my grandfather probably influenced me the most. A great lesson that he taught me was to be very particular about the people that I choose to surround myself with because not everyone will be in my corner, and I think that really impacted my views on relationships and what they should look like and how I cultivate them.

One thing I want to accomplish in my lifetime is to drive a Formula One race car on a Grand Prix track.

For years now, I have really enjoyed watching Formula One races and I think that it would be so cool to not only see one, but be in one of the vehicles and feel how powerful they are.

My husband and I own and operate our own Sustainable Livestock Operation. We specialize in land-management and also sell our beef (hit us up @ foxspringranch.com) 😉

My husband grew up doing traditional farming in West Texas. We decided to buy land in Eastern Oklahoma because we get more rain and wanted to be forward-thinking when it comes to managing and nurturing the land. Beef is a by-product of that main goal.

I’d love to eventually use my sales degree and open a small store front in the South BA area. Have beef on hand but then also open up space to other families who grow their own food or operate tangentially to us.

I want those I work with to get the impression that I am team oriented. I am never out solely for the success of myself, but the success of my team and the clients I get the pleasure of servicing.

Before college, I was an intern at an event planning company. Since then I knew for absolute sure that whatever job I got after college would have to bring me the same excitement that I got when I was at that internship. I knew that Inceed was that job for me because I experience that same excitement.

I volunteer at our local Fire Department, where my husband is the Lieutenant. Cleaning, helping with community breakfasts, etc.

All FD’s in our county are volunteer-based, even the fire fighters. So, they often do not have access to the same funding as paid departments. Doing what we can to help this department grow and be efficient is only going to help our community get access to the resources they deserve in a rural community.

We have made so many valuable and family-oriented connections, really found an accepting community in a place neither of us grew up in.

I spent my freshman year at Oklahoma State University studying Hospitality and Tourism Management, but then I realized that my true passion was sales, so I transferred to the University of Central Oklahoma to pursue a Professional Selling degree.

During my sophomore year I was a part of the Students for Sustainability club and I really enjoyed all the activities associated with that group.

Before Inceed, I was in college. At first, my goals were to graduate, become an event planner, and then move to New York City. Once I realized that my true passion was within Sales, I also started to realize that while I was not averse to moving, I did want to stay closer so that I could be around to help raise my baby siblings and be more involved in their lives.

Some of my struggles throughout college were being able to find my happiness and learn what really drove the happiness within myself.
